Purpose of Role BGIS are seeking Two (2) proactive and experienced Facilities Managers (FM) (Electrical & Essential) to oversee the maintenance, compliance, and operational performance of electrical & essential systems across designated facilities. 1x Electrical Services Facilities Manager 1x Essential Services Facilities Manager These roles ensure all electrical & essential FM services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with safety, regulatory, and client requirements. Key Responsibilities Electrical Maintenance & Compliance - Ensure electrical and essential systems, equipment, and infrastructure adhere to regulatory standards, safety requirements, and company policies. Contractor & Vendor Management - Coordinate and oversee external contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of electrical and essential maintenance and repairs. Risk Management & Safety - Implement and maintain risk management procedures, ensuring compliance with electrical and essential safety regulations and workplace health and safety standards. Planned & Reactive Maintenance - Develop and oversee preventative maintenance programs while managing responses to faults and breakdowns. Stakeholder Engagement - Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including facility occupants, project teams, and regulatory bodies, to ensure electrical and essential services meet business needs. Budget & Cost Control - Monitor maintenance budgets, track expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high service standards. Reporting & Documentation - Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance, testing, and compliance activities. Provide management reports on system performance and maintenance outcomes. Asset Management - Oversee electrical and essential asset lifecycle planning, ensuring timely upgrades and replacements to maintain system efficiency and compliance. Continuous Improvement - Identify and implement opportunities for efficiency gains, energy savings, and system improvements, keeping up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies. Project Support - Provide technical expertise for electrical and essential components of facility upgrades, refurbishments, and new installations. Experience and Qualifications Essential: Experience: Proven experience in electrical or essential maintenance, facilities management, or asset management, with a strong understanding of electrical systems, compliance requirements, and contractor management. Experience in coordinating maintenance activities within a commercial or industrial environment. Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical or essential safety regulations and compliance requirements. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and asset management systems. Education: Licensed electrician with relevant trade qualifications, or an electrical engineering degree or related qualification. Desirable: Experience: Previous experience managing electrical or essential services in large-scale facilities or within a regulated industry. Exposure to energy efficiency projects and electrical system optimisation. Skills: Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS). Understanding of energy management and sustainability practices. Education: Certifications in facilities management, project management, or energy efficiency.
