This role is in the Early Childhood Education Quality Assurance and Regulatory Services (QARS) directorate. We ensure young children get the best start in life by supporting and regulating the early childhood education and care sector. Our directorate regulates and supports over 6000 services across NSW.
About the role
The role leads improvement strategies to ensure regulatory requirements are embedded into early childhood education sector policy and practice and provides high level strategic advice on a range of issues to support best practice regulation of NSW early childhood education and care services.

Essential requirements of the role
4. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
5. A valid Working with Children Check clearance for paid employment.
6. Experience in state or federal government policy development.
7. Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as Law, Early Childhood Teaching, and/or Communications.
Key Knowledge and experience
8. Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s and and upholding the to support Aboriginal children and families and ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
About you
This role is suited to candidates with relevant qualifications and previous experience in a human service delivery agency, where they were responsible for managing projects that contributed to uplifting standards, quality or safety across the client or service provider population. Candidates with prior experience in a regulatory agency environment or, operational service delivery environment are encouraged to apply.
