About the Role
Airswift is partnering with a major renewable energy developer to deliver a significant wind farm project in rural South Australia. We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager / Owner’s Site Representative to act as the client’s primary site-based representative, overseeing all construction activities and ensuring successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee construction activities across multiple workstreams and contractor interfaces.
- Act as the Owner’s on-site representative, ensuring delivery aligns with contractual obligations.
- Lead the site-based team including civil and electrical supervisors, HSE, stakeholder engagement, and administrative staff.
- Manage daily construction activities, progress reporting, and interface coordination.
- Conduct site inspections, maintain compliance records, and manage defect close-outs.
- Facilitate site meetings and coordinate visits from stakeholders including the Owner, Owner’s Engineer, auditors, landowners, and community representatives.
- Monitor contractor quality documentation and ensure adherence to QA / QC procedures.
- Promote a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
- Maintain daily site logs, progress photos, and contractor reports for internal governance.
- Provide regular updates to the Project Manager, including risk and interface tracking.
- Support commissioning, energisation planning, and final handover documentation.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or diploma in Engineering (Civil or Electrical), Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in utility‑scale renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
- Proven ability to manage complex delivery models and multi‑contractor environments.
- Solid knowledge of contract administration, WHS legislation, and technical standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently in remote environments and manage competing priorities.
