About the Role
Airswift is partnering with a major renewable energy developer to deliver a significant wind farm project in rural South Australia. We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager / Owner's Site Representative to act as the client's primary site-based representative, overseeing all construction activities and ensuring successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee construction activities across multiple workstreams and contractor interfaces.
* Act as the Owner's on-site representative, ensuring delivery aligns with contractual obligations.
* Lead the site-based team including civil and electrical supervisors, HSE, stakeholder engagement, and administrative staff.
* Manage daily construction activities, progress reporting, and interface coordination.
* Conduct site inspections, maintain compliance records, and manage defect close-outs.
* Facilitate site meetings and coordinate visits from stakeholders including the Owner, Owner's Engineer, auditors, landowners, and community representatives.
* Monitor contractor quality documentation and ensure adherence to QA / QC procedures.
* Promote a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
* Maintain daily site logs, progress photos, and contractor reports for internal governance.
* Provide regular updates to the Project Manager, including risk and interface tracking.
* Support commissioning, energisation planning, and final handover documentation.
Qualifications and Experience
* Degree or diploma in Engineering (Civil or Electrical), Construction Management, or a related field.
* Minimum 8 years' experience in utility‑scale renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
* Proven ability to manage complex delivery models and multi‑contractor environments.
* Strong knowledge of contract administration, WHS legislation, and technical standards.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability to work independently in remote environments and manage competing priorities.
