Role OverviewThis role sits within a growing renewable energy platform delivering critical infrastructure and energy transition projects across Australia. The environment is commercially complex, project-driven and highly visible, with direct exposure to senior leadership and board-level decision making.The position focuses on commercial and financial analysis to support the successful delivery of renewable energy projects. Financial modelling, budget and forecast analysis, and risk assessment form critical inputs into board papers, investment cases and management reporting, while also providing clear commercial insight back to project delivery teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver commercial financial analysis across renewable energy and infrastructure projectsBuild and maintain detailed financial models supporting project budgets, forecasts and investment casesAnalyse project cost, margin, cash flow and key commercial risksProvide financial input into board papers, governance submissions and management reportingPartner closely with project teams to support delivery outcomes and commercial decision-makingSupport portfolio performance through forecasting, cost control and variance analysisAct as a trusted commercial finance advisor to senior stakeholders
About YouProven experience in commercial finance, project finance or financial analysis within energy, infrastructure or capital-intensive environmentsStrong background in financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting for large-scale projectsExperience supporting investment cases, board papers and senior management reportingSolid understanding of project delivery, cost control and commercial riskConfident business partner able to translate complex financial data into clear insightsAdvanced Excel skills; experience with enterprise financial systems advantageous
