Health Support Associate
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Health Support Associate to join our team. As a Health Support Associate, you will provide patient care support services while preserving patient dignity, privacy and confidentiality.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a dynamic healthcare environment. You will be responsible for assisting nursing staff with direct and indirect patient care, ensuring a hygienic environment, and performing patient and staff transport as required.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist nursing staff with direct and indirect patient care while maintaining patient confidentiality and dignity.
* Provide patient support services to ensure an effective clinical service.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with hospital policy and Australian Health Care Standards.
* Perform patient and staff transport as required.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Demonstrated initiative, reliability, and punctuality.
* Proficiency in verbal and written communication and basic computer skills.
* Awareness of multicultural issues and their impact on work practices.
* The ability to work within a multidisciplinary and multicultural team environment.
* A current NT driver's license and physical fitness to undertake the duties required.
* A Certificate III in Aged Care or Health Support Services (or working towards same).
