Who we're looking for
This role is for an experienced practitioner who wants to apply their experience and new thinking to provide risk‐based solutions to clients' people problems. In conjunction with the Partner, you will take a lead role in promoting and growing the Employee/Industrial Relations services of Exant HR.
Responsibilities:
* Legal research and report writing
* Drafting employment agreements, independent contractor agreements and other legal documents
* Enterprise bargaining and negotiation
* Performance and people management advice
* Discipline and dismissal advice
* Case preparation (e.g., unfair dismissal, general protections, dispute)
* Advocacy (mentoring available if you don't have experience in advocacy)
* Workplace investigations
This role suits someone who
* Has a degree in law, although a degree in industrial relations or another relevant discipline will be considered.
* Has 3+ years of previous experience working in employment law or industrial relations.
* Has experience working in a collaborative team environment with other professional staff on projects and providing mentorship and coaching.
* Would prefer to apply their knowledge of the law to assist organisations in making decisions, managing risk, and resolving high‐stakes workplace issues.
* Enjoys building relationships with clients and is able to communicate clearly with people across a broad spectrum of backgrounds.
* Wants exposure to a variety of work and industries.
