Position Objective

The Project Manager reports to the Operations Manager and assists with all aspects of overseeing all projects, assisting with Business Development, Estimating, Vendor Relations and Employee Development.

Workplace Duties

1. Manage all financial aspects of projects through ongoing job forecasting from start through to completion.
2. Cost to completes', progress claims & EOM major works WIP spreadsheet & ABM reporting.
3. Understand and execute sub-contracts.
4. Understand plans & specifications.
5. Labour forecasting.
6. Set clear goals and expectations to site foreman/ staff.
7. Negotiate with supplies during procurement.
8. Negotiate and resolve all customer concerns/ requirements.
9. Design and execute a comprehensive project commissioning plan.
10. Complete and compile all project handover documentation.
11. Occasionally review tenders.
12. Fully understand the contract for the projects
13. Pricing, estimating variations in Espro
14. Relationships with Key suppliers when required for each project.
15. Handing the project over to our Service and PM during DLP
* Ensure that reasonable care is taken in relation to personal health and safety.
* Ensure compliance with all policies, regulations, and legislation in relation to area of responsibility.
* Operate with minimal supervision.
* Maintain professionalism at all times

Qualifications and Experience

* Current Drivers Licence
* 10 years in construction related field
* 5 Years in a Project Management role
* PMP or Prince2 Preferred
* Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Business Management

The following knowledge and skills are required to be utilised:

* Knowledge of Project Management
* Knowledge of Construction Management
* Estimating & Forecasting
* Work Scheduling
* MS Office (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Project)
* Construction Safety Laws and Regulations
* Vendor Management
* Contract Negotiation

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

The nature of the tasks being asked of the employee may be or involve:

* Work is primarily sedentary in nature
* Sitting for prolonged periods
* Computer use
* Bending / Twisting / Turning
* Lifting
* Walking/Standing
* Repetitive motions

Occupational Health & Safety

16. Ensure full compliance with Watters Safety and Rehabilitation Policies, Procedures, and Instructions
17. Ensure full compliance with responsibilities under the OHS Act & Regulations as amended and other relevant legislation, In particular:
* Take reasonable care for your own safety and that of others at their work,
* Accept the responsibilities while performing your work with regard to the use of safety devices and protective equipment,
* Report safety hazards to supervisors to minimise and control risk,
* Report immediately any incident or injury which arises in the course of your work,
* Ensure completion of induction, instruction, and training prior to undertaking tasks.
* Ensure that you are not affected by the consumption of alcohol or drugs so as not to endanger your own safety at work or the safety of any other person.
* Ensure personal adherence to Watters WHS Policies, Safety Work Procedures, Safe Operating Procedures and Safety Instructions.
