The Trainer/Assessor is responsible for delivering Certificate III in Early Childhood and Education and Care. They provide high-quality training and support to students, fostering motivation and success. They collaborate with course coordinators to design, refine, and evaluate course materials, ensuring ongoing improvement. All efforts adhere strictly to standards and regulations set by ASQA and other relevant bodies. This role emphasizes compliance and quality enhancement to create an effective learning environment.
The Trainer/Assessor's key responsibilities include:
1. Delivering dynamic lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions, fostering an inclusive environment for active student participation, critical thinking, and providing constructive feedback to support academic progression.
2. Coordinating simulations and placements, conducting supervision, and guiding students in applying theoretical knowledge to practical industry settings.
3. Implementing fair assessment strategies, monitoring and evaluating educational programs, and providing recommendations for ongoing improvement.
4. Engaging in professional development to enhance teaching and industry skills.
5. Collaborating effectively with educators, students, and external partners to ensure a smooth learning experience.
6. Working with the curriculum development team to create learning resources, assessments, and other materials to support high-quality education.
Key Selection Criteria:
* Possession of the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or vocational competencies at least to the level of the qualifications delivered.
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, such as TAE40122, TAE40116, or TAE40110, plus:
o TAELLN411 or TAELLN401A (Address adult language, literacy, and numeracy skills)
o Assessment development units (TAEASS502 or equivalents)
* Diploma or higher qualification in adult education is desirable.
* Evidence of recent VET and industry professional development activities.
* Understanding of ASQA regulatory guidelines and standards (preferred).
Desired Skills and Experience
Note: Successful candidates will be required to undergo:
* National Police Clearance (valid within the last 6 months) or willingness to obtain one.
* Working with Children Check or willingness to apply for one.
