Many of them will tell you about The Base inBelmont — our youth centre for 11–25 year olds thatruns activities, workshops, and programs to support and connectthem.
Right now, we're looking for an experienced Youth Workerto join the team at The Base until June30th, 2027 (with the possibility of extending). Maybeyou're ready to step up into a more leading role in theyouth/community/social services space, or you love designingengaging programs alongside young people.

What you'll be doing:
Your week will be filled with variety and purpose: You will leadthe program planning at The Base, creating and deliveringinnovative programs to help young people flourish, build networkswith local organisations, promote our, and engage with young people during our drop-in.
In this role, you'll have plenty of independence toresearch, design, and deliver programs and workshops that meet theunique needs of the community, helping young people buildconfidence and social skills. Much of your work will involvegroup-based activities, within our drop-in space or in thecommunity. By the end of each shift, you'll head home knowingyou've made a genuine impact in the lives of young people,and that's something to be proud of.
Your weekly work schedule:
Tuesday: 10.30pm - 6.30pm
Wednesday: 10.30am - 6.30pm
Thursday: 1.30pm - 6.30pm
Friday 10.30pm - 6.30pm
Saturday: 12.30pm - 4.30pm
You'll be great in this role ifyou...
* Have a Cert IV (or greater) in Youth Work, Education, Community Work, Social Work or other relevant discipline and equivalent experience
* Hold a C class driver's license.
* Have a National Police Clearance and WA Working with children check card or willingness to obtain
* Have a minimum of two years experience
* Can obtain a HLTAID003 First Aid certificate
* Can obtain a Food Handling/Safety Certificate (Desirable)
