About the Role
As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring optimal plant performance and minimizing downtime through preventative, breakdown, and routine maintenance tasks on various plant equipment and systems.
Collaborate with mechanical trades, non-trades staff, and management to guarantee high plant reliability, safety, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform electrical maintenance on plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
* Support both planned and reactive maintenance activities across the site.
* Promote and practice safe work procedures in compliance with regulations and company policies.
* Communicate effectively with maintenance, production, QA, and safety teams.
* Provide technical guidance to junior team members and participate in upskilling and mentoring.
* Maintain accurate records through our digital system.
What You'll Need to Succeed
A recognized electrical trade qualification (Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent) and relevant post-trade experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting - ideally food processing. Strong understanding of electrical safety, maintenance systems, and automation is also required. Experience with PLCs (especially Allen Bradley) and using CMMS tools is an added advantage. The ability to work autonomously and within a team, managing multiple priorities is essential. Strong communication skills and a continuous improvement mindset are also highly valued. Knowledge of OH&S regulations and the ability to identify and mitigate risks is necessary.
