You\'ll have strong writing and digital skills, the ability to translate complex ideas into clear and engaging messages, and the confidence to manage media relationships and deadlines.If you\'re driven by purpose and believe in the power of communication to inspire change and strengthen community connections, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.Selection CriteriaRelevant Tertiary qualifications highly regardedThree + years prior experience in a related communications and/or media roleDemonstrated ability to coordinate the development of high-quality communications resources and products across platforms, from engaging print to high-impact online and interactive mediaProficient writer across various mediums including media releases, case studies, website content and long form articlesDemonstrated ability to build positive relations and collaborate with diverse teams and individualsExperienced in the use of the Adobe Creative Suite, in particular, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier Pro and PhotoshopExperience in website content management and updates (specifically WordPress)Experience in social media platforms, management, and content creation (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube)Strong attention to detail, and high workflow and priority management skillsAbility to work autonomously and in a harmonious team environmentPhotography - able to capture and process quality images for use in communications resourcesExperienced media professional with the ability to form strong relationships with media at a local, state and national levelKnowledge of in-house video production and editingExperience in user testing, conducting focus groups and/or designing and conducting feedback surveysExperience in electronic direct mail systems such as MailchimpExperience with NRM/environmental and/or not-for-profit (NFP) sector (i.e. familiarity with subject matter and business models)Culture and ValuesWe build a strong culture - Our people are our strengthOur team is comprised of skilled and outcome-focused people who are all dedicated to looking after the environment in the Mackay Whitsunday Isaac region.
