How does this Position contribute to our Community? Assists promote local visual artists through the provision of high-quality customer service in galleries and gallery shop Assists support the delivery of a variety of art and cultural experiences to the community Assists promote Port Lincoln as a regional centre for arts, culture and local heritage What does this Position do? Supports Nautilus Arts Centre (NAC) operations including gallery shop sales, artist and customer relations, exhibition curation, event coordination, Box Office, ticket sales, facility enquiries, bookings and volunteer coordination. Key Responsibilities Customer Service – Telephone, Counter and Electronic Cash Handling and Receipting, including end of day reconciliation Gallery shop and box office ticketing sales Assist with gallery shop layout and displays and exhibition curation Administration of gallery shop artist payments Coordination of volunteer roster for performances Assist with promotion and marketing including social media and website administration. Assistance with event management such as the Port Lincoln Art Prize and exhibition openings Maintenance of bar stock, inclusive of stocktake Box office, Front of House and Fire Warden responsibilities during performances General Administration, including daily operational tasks as above Community and Public liaison. Flexibility to work nights, Public Holidays and Sundays when an event is occurring (e.g. performances, markets, exhibition openings) Manual handling is a part of this role through set up and pack down of exhibitions and functions including some post-hire cleaning Reporting of incidents, near miss, injuries, property damage and identified hazards Take reasonable care to protect their own safety and the health and safety of others Follow reasonable instruction on health and safety and injury management Actively participate in training and WHS programs as required Essential Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills Demonstrated Experience in Cash Handling Demonstrated Experience in Customer Service Proficient IT Skills Responsible Service of Alcohol (or willingness to obtain) Ability to work as part of a team Ability to follow procedures / instructions The ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people Highly regarded but not essential Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills Demonstrated knowledge of the Arts Industry Demonstrated Experience in Office Administration Demonstrated Experience in Similar Position or Industry Use of online booking procedures Use of Mailchimp, WordPress, Facebook and Instagram for marketing and advertising purposes Knowledge of venue hire procedures and processes Merchandising/Display design (Gallery shop) Key Performance Indicators Exceptional customer service is provided Cash handling and end of day reconciliations undertaken accurately Events, performances and exhibitions set up and completed in a timely manner NAC social media platforms and website kept up to date Identified WHS responsibilities are being undertaken within required times
