We are seeking an IT Systems & Projects Lead who brings strong business acumen, systems thinking and stakeholder leadership, rather than a purely technical IT background. This role is ideal for someone who sits comfortably between strategy, operations and technology, and who thrives on translating complex systems into practical, organisation‑wide outcomes.
You will lead the coordination, governance and evolution of CITB's core systems and digital initiatives, ensuring technology solutions are embedded into business processes, capability and culture - not implemented in isolation.
This is not a hands‑on IT configuration or development role. Instead, you will work closely with internal leaders and external specialists to ensure technology investments deliver real organisational impact.
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
In this role, you will:
* Lead and coordinate IT and digital projects from concept through to delivery, ensuring alignment with business priorities
* Act as the organisational custodian of CITB's bespoke core software platform, owning its roadmap, governance and long‑term sustainability
* Translate business needs into clear system requirements and practical solutions
* Partner with leaders to embed digitally enabled, data‑driven ways of working across the organisation
* Manage external vendors and service providers, ensuring value, performance and accountability
* Facilitate collaboration between technical specialists and business stakeholders
* Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes and organisational capability
* Ensure technology initiatives meet governance, compliance and risk requirements.

Essential
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
* Proven experience engaging and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders
* High level of technical literacy, particularly in enterprise systems (e.g. ERP, CRM, Microsoft Dynamics or similar)
* Ability to lead projects and coordinate delivery through internal and external specialists
Desirable
* Experience in vendor and contract management
* Exposure to business analysis and process improvement methodologies
* Qualification in Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field
