About the Role
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy mining equipment to meet production targets while maintaining Whitehaven Coal's commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
* Operating mining equipment such as haul trucks
* Working collaboratively within a crew to achieve daily production targets
* Conducting pre-start checks and reporting defects
* Maintaining high safety and housekeeping standards
* Actively participating in safety meetings and toolbox talks
What You'll Bring
* Previous experience operating heavy equipment in an open-cut coal mining environment
* Relevant tickets and competencies (RII)
* Strong commitment to safety and risk awareness
* Ability to work a rotating roster in a team-based environment
* Current driver's licence and ability to pass pre-employment medicals
