Inline Building Design is a small, close-knit team offering building design and drafting services, with a strong focus on what matters most to our clients. About the Role
We’re looking for a Junior Draftsperson to join our team and support our design and project delivery process. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with up to 1–2 years’ experience who is eager to develop their technical skills and gain hands-on exposure across a variety of residential projects.
Working closely with the Director, you’ll be supported as you build your capability in drafting, documentation, and project coordination, while developing a strong foundation in the building design industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce accurate 2D drawings using AutoCAD
* Assist with maintaining project documentation across design and construction phases
* Attend site visits to complete measurements and collect project data
* Translate site information into detailed digital drawings
* Support communication with clients, consultants, and contractors
* Prepare reports, submissions, and project documentation
* Contribute to a collaborative team environment while continuing to learn and grow
About You
* Experience using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar)
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Good communication skills and a professional approach
* Organised and able to manage multiple tasks
* Willing to learn, take direction, and develop your skills
* A team player who enjoys working in a small business environment
Qualifications & Experience
* Relevant qualification in Architectural Drafting, Building Design
* Internship, work placement, or up to 1–2 years’ experience (preferred but not essential)
* Knowledge of construction methods and building codes is a bonus
