About the role

Are you a strategic communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment? Join AusNet’s high-performing communications team and help shape how we connect with over 1.6 million Victorians.

This critical role supports external communications across eight business lines, working closely with community, customers and stakeholders to deliver clear, engaging and compliant messaging.



What you’ll do:



* Develop and deliver high-quality content across digital and print channels.
* Lead multi-channel campaigns that support AusNet’s services and priorities.
* Champion plain language and content accessibility.
* Use data and insights to continuously improve messaging.
* Develop emergency and incident management communications and updates.
* Collaborate across teams for consistent, effective communication.

About you!



* Experience in energy, infrastructure, or utilities is a bonus — but not essential.
* 5+ years in communications, media, or journalism.
* Exceptional writing and editing skills.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and campaign planning, implementation, delivery and evaluation experience.
* Familiarity with digital tools like Salesforce, Sitecore, Sprout Social, Power BI and social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Meta, TikTok).
* Experience with culturally linguistically and diverse (CALD) communications and media relations is a plus.
