Investigation Analyst Job Overview
This role involves assessment and evidence gathering for complex mortgage conduct matters. It requires conducting analysis to identify issues of misconduct, non-compliance, control gaps, and patterns.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake designated file reviews and record information and anomalies covering all Westpac group brands and systems.
* Retrieve and supply copies of loan and other customer documents relevant to the customer.
* Conduct customer file reviews and comprehensive analyses to collect evidence of fraud, manipulation, or Loan Originator misconduct.
* Review loan files to identify any issues with lending, patterns, or documents provided.
* Verify and validate supporting information related to loan portfolios with internal and external parties.
* Liaise with Customer Management Legal, Risk, and Fraud Operations, and Credit where necessary, providing detailed recommendations based on anomalies found.
* Assess policy, processes, and controls, and recommend improvements where potential gaps are evident.
* Support Group Investigations and Broker QA areas with information required for investigations and decision-making.
* Engage with WBC Group entities associated with outcomes of matters undertaken or completed by SLTF, including working groups.
* Record file reviews in shared databases to comply with bank internal processes and Equifax requirements.
