Telecommunications Technician Job Opportunity
This position involves working on telecommunications infrastructure statewide, maintaining networks and equipment. The role requires a high level of technical expertise, including understanding scope of works on build drawings and site survey findings.
* Install and maintain WCDMA/LTE/4G/5G/NBN technologies;
* Install radio base stations, terminating hybrid flex cables and coaxial feeder cables/tails, earthing, cable trays, diplexers, combiners;
Suitable Skills for the Role
1. Tertiary qualification in Telecommunications or Engineering science,
2. Equivalent experience as telecommunications technician if no qualification is held, and experience with Nokia and/or Ericsson equipment are desirable skills;
3. Certifications like Working at Heights / Tower Rescue Ticket; First Aid and CPR are also required.
The candidate must be able to work away from home when needed. This may require relocation to different parts of Australia or even interstate travel depending on the needs of SC Services.
