New **Clinical Trials Pharmacy Technician** position based at the new **Victorian Heart Hospital** and the Monash Health Translation Precinct and opporunity to play a key role in establishing a clinical trials service in a new heart hospital
**Our journey**
The **Victorian Heart Hospital** will be Australia's first dedicated heart hospital and is nearing its final stages of construction. It will include a full range of ambulatory and inpatient cardiac care, including cardiac theatres, cardiac catheterisation laboratories, emergency, intensive care, and ambulatory services such as cardiac CT, echocardiography and specialist consultation. It will also feature a unique, patient centred model of care. The Victorian Heart Hospital will also play a key role in advancing research and teaching and will be home to the Victorian Heart Institute, a brand new, health and medical research organisation at Monash University.
**Now Recruiting **Clinic**al Trials Pharmacy Technician - Grade 3**
We are excited to announce a new **Clinical Trials Pharmacy Technician - Grade 3** position at:
- ** Victorian Heart Hospital**:
- ** Monash Health Translation Precinct (co-located with Monash Medical Centre)**
In this newly created position, the clinical trials pharmacy technician will work together with the Clinical Trials Pharmacy team to establish a new clinical trials pharmacy service at the Victorian Heart Hospital. It is expected that after a period of one year, the clinical trials pharmacy technician may rotate to the main clinical trials pharmacy at the Monash Health Translation Precinct.
The Monash Health Clinical Trials Pharmacy oversees over 360 active trials from a wide variety of specialties and ages including oncology, haematology and paediatrics.
The position is a full-time ongoing role.
**What you Bring**
You are an accomplished **Pharmacy Technician **with demonstrated proven hospital pharmacy experience. You preferably have clinical trials experience and aseptic and cytotoxic preparation skills. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent computer literacy skills. You are committed to continued professional development and education. You demonstrate initiative, reliability, and work well with peers showing flexibility and adaptability. You are proactive and constructive in your approaches to problem solving for individual patients and service development.
**What you need**
- Certificate IV in Hospital Health Services Pharmacy Support course or equivalent
- Peter McCallum Chemotherapy Preparation Course (desirable)
- Previous experience with clinical trials (desirable)
- Australian working rights
