Job Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an individual who will be supporting a person with a dynamic social life based in Coffs Harbour.
The ideal candidate is active, collaborative, empathetic, has strong cultural competence and is experienced at implementing Behaviour Support Plans.
This position would be ideally suited to individuals seeking 30 hours per week of support and experienced in assisting people with behavioural support needs.
The participant requires team members who are available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and sleepovers.
Structure and routine is important to this participant and they require reliable team members who maintain professional boundaries whilst building rapport.
About the Role
This role involves supporting NDIS participants with activities of daily living, inclusive of meal preparation, supporting people to attend medical appointments, facilitate community access, undertaking personal and domestic activities.
Implementing Individual and Behaviour Support plans inclusive of following plans and protocols, collecting and collating data, attending regular training sessions.
Work a variety of shifts, inclusive of mornings, evenings, overnight shifts, split shifts and weekend work.
Extensive on the job training, inclusive of buddy shifts, on call service and individualised participant training with the opportunity to gain qualifications.
Qualifications & Experience
Preferred Certificate 3 in Individual Support, with traineeships available for people who do not have an existing qualification.
Preferred experience supporting people with living with disability or mental health concerns either in a paid, voluntary or lived experienced capacity.
