What You'll Be Doing

The Manager manages a multidisciplinary team of clinicians to provide consumer focused, evidence-based and rehabilitation and recovery-centered mental health services to consumers, carers, and families across the age spectrum, including Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS), Adult Mental Health services and Older Persons Mental Health (OPMHS), to support person centred recovery as defined by consumers and their carers and families.


Selection Criteria

* Relevant tertiary qualifications or relevant professional experience or a combination of both.
* Mental Health clinical background and/or qualifications in this clinical field.
* Demonstrated skills and experience in organisational change and service development, including the implementation of systems to manage the core business of the service.
* Demonstrated high level skills in evidence-based interventions for the promotion, prevention and treatment of mental illness and substance use.
* Demonstrated experience in delivering recovery-oriented care to mental health consumers and/or a harm minimisation approach to drug and alcohol clients.
* Demonstrated knowledge of the legislative requirements that govern Mental Health service provision, including the NSW Mental Health Act (2007) and an understanding of current State and National Mental Health policies, and their potential impact on service provision in the public sector.
* Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
