Job Overview:
We're seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cafe All-Rounder to join our team on a part-time permanent basis or casual. This position offers steady hours (20 to 40 per week) and the chance to be part of a friendly, fast-paced café environment. You'll work across customer service, coffee-making, food prep, and general cleaning—ideal for someone who's flexible, proactive, and passionate about hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Greet and serve customers with a warm, professional attitude
* Take dine-in and takeaway orders efficiently
* Make quality coffee and beverages (barista experience preferred)
* Assist with preparing and plating simple food items (e.g., sandwiches, pastries, salads)
* Operate the POS system and handle payments
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across the café, including clearing tables, dishwashing, and restocking
* Follow all food safety and OH&S procedures
* Assist with opening/closing duties when required
* Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a café or hospitality role (preferred but not essential)
* Barista skills (or willingness to learn on the job)
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Positive attitude, reliability, and team spirit
* Able to multitask and work calmly under pressure
* Flexible availability, especially on weekends and peak periods
* Commitment to a consistent part-time schedule (20 to 40 hours/week)
