About the Role
We are currently seeking motivated, confident and talented professionals to join our well-established team, ideally in a full-time capacity.
Responsibilities
Efficient and accurate data entry, including:
Bank reconciliations
Processing accounts payable and receivable
Preparation and issuing of invoices
Payroll processing and employee records maintenance
Recording financial transactions in bookkeeping software, spreadsheets or databases
Development and maintenance of the chart of accounts
Debtor management
Accurate and timely recording, reporting and analysis of financial information, including identifying and resolving irregularities
Introduction and maintenance of new and existing accounting software systems
Preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS)
Preparation of Income Tax Returns and Financial Statements
Liaising and meeting with clients to discuss financial matters
Maintenance of internal control systems
Management of personal time tracking to client files
Active participation in weekly accountant and team training sessions including discussions, research and presentations
Key Attributes of the Successful Candidate
Strong time-management and organisational skills
Exceptional problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail
High-level written communication skills, including the preparation of client and third-party correspondence
Excellent verbal communication and a professional manner when dealing with clients
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding client and practice information
Capacity to multi-task, work autonomously, prioritise effectively, take initiative, remain flexible and work under pressure while meeting deadlines
Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications and general computer systems
Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) is highly regarded but not essential
Preferred Qualifications & Background
