Therapeutic Youth Worker
Life Without Barriers is seeking a dedicated Therapeutic Youth Worker to join our team. In this rewarding role, you will play a crucial part in supporting vulnerable young people aged 12-17 who have experienced childhood trauma, abuse or neglect.
As a Therapeutic Youth Worker, your primary responsibility will be to provide individualized care and support to these young people, helping them develop essential life skills and build positive relationships with others. You will work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality services that meet the unique needs of each young person.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide individualized care and support to young people aged 12-17 who have experienced childhood trauma, abuse or neglect
* Develop and implement personalized plans to promote the well-being and resilience of young people
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support for young people and their families
* Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote best practice in therapeutic youth work
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Hold or be actively completing a Diploma in Community Services or related field (or higher)
* Current Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) certificate
* Current driver's license
* Ability to assist with activities of daily living, including personal care (if required)
