* Be the guardian of all thing's temperature, hygiene, and precision, overseeing daily freezer and chiller checks, equipment calibrations, chemical concentration testing, and the vital startup verifications that keep our production floor running like clockwork.
* Champion product integrity by managing retention samples and gold standards, inspecting and releasing finished goods, verifying cleaning and sanitation activities, and ensuring every product that leaves our site meets Beerenberg's high standards.
* Be the goto production partner, working shouldertoshoulder with our operators to complete online checks, cooking verifications, line clearances, and troubleshooting any food-safety curveballs that pop up across a busy shift.
* Keep our compliance heartbeat strong through environmental, water, and materials testing; coordinating external lab analysis; maintaining registers; completing audits and inspections; and playing an active role as a HACCP team member.
* Manage the critical stuff, placing product on HOLD when required, raising NCRs, chasing actions to closure, generating CofAs, and ensuring our documentation is as robust as our recipes.
* Be a continuousimprovement champion, spotting smarter ways of working, supporting the Technical team, and partnering with operational staff to uphold the policies, procedures, and foodsafety practices that keep Beerenberg a trusted, iconic name.
Now, for your own ingredients list. You'll be the right person for this role if you:
* Are an early riser who loves a head start on the day. A 6am start suits you perfectly, and you'll be home early enough to actually enjoy your afternoon.
* Have built a strong foundation in food science, ideally backed by a Degree or Diploma, and know your way around quality, risk, and WHS principles that keep products (and people) safe.
* Bring analytical superpowers to the table, confidently interpreting data, troubleshooting issues, and presenting insights that help the team make smarter, safer decisions.
* Have a knack for problemsolving on the fly, thinking laterally, staying calm under pressure, and finding practical solutions that keep production humming.
* Are a collaborative allrounder who works seamlessly with operators, managers, suppliers, and auditors, fostering a positive, productive team environment.
* Communicate like a pro- numerically, verbally, and in writing- making it easy for others to understand the "why" behind quality and food safety.
* Pride yourself on exceptional finishing skills, managing your time well, sweating the details, and ensuring every checklist, test, and report is completed accurately and on time.
* Bring passion, enthusiasm, and a genuine drive to deliver excellence, going above and beyond to uphold Beerenberg's reputation for quality.
* Are physically capable of handson work across the site and able to meet all necessary medical and fitness requirements.
* Are techsavvy, confident with MS Office and comfortable navigating PCbased systems, including platforms like Attaché.
* And of course, have a real love of food, flavour, and all things delicious- especially when they're South Australian and proudly Beerenberg!
