About The Role
As a Support Worker, you’ll support people with disabilities—many with complex behaviours—to live safe, meaningful, and fulfilling lives.
You’ll provide consistent, one-on-one support that helps clients build independence, regulate emotions, and work towards their personal goals. Using calm, respectful and person-centred approaches, you’ll support clients at home and in the community to do the things that matter to them.
From everyday routines like cooking and personal care to creative activities, outings, and community participation, your support will make a real difference. Shifts may include afternoons, evenings, and sleepovers.

Duties
Support clients with complex behaviours using positive, consistent approachesFollow behaviour support plans and help clients work towards their individual goalsSupport daily living, personal care, and health needs where requiredEncourage independence through meaningful activities and routinesBuild strong, trusting relationships with clients and their familiesRespond calmly and confidently to challenging situations
Essential
Skills and Experience:
Experience supporting people with complex behaviours or high support needsA calm, patient, and resilient approachStrong communication and relationship-building skillsAbility to adapt and problem-solve in challenging situationsAvailability for shift work, including weekends and sleepoversDriver’s Licence, Working With Children Check, and NSW NDIS Worker Screening CheckAbility to pass a National Criminal History CheckAccess to a personal vehicle for work use, if required
Desirable
Certificate III or IV in Disability Support (or equivalent)Understanding of behaviour support or NDIA processesCreative or practical skills that help engage clients and support positive outcomes
