We are seeking an experienced, professional Medical Secretary / Personal Assistant to provide dedicated support to one of our Orthopaedic Surgeon's practicing within a busy group setting in West Perth. This is a dynamic and rewarding role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient service.
In this pivotal position, you will work closely with the surgeon to manage the day-to-day operations of the practice. You will be the first point of contact for patients and referrers, and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of both clinical and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Schedule patient appointments, theatre lists, and hospital bookings
* Manage billing processes including Medicare and health fund claims
* Maintain calendars and coordinate correspondence
* Perform bookkeeping tasks, including invoicing and bank reconciliations
* General administrative duties
* Assist with practice development, including marketing and referrer engagement initiatives

About You
You are a proactive, well-organised professional with a background in medical administration and a commitment to patient care. You are confident managing competing priorities, working independently, and taking initiative where needed.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* At least 3 years' experience in a similar Medical Secretary / PA role
* Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
* High attention to detail and the ability to multitask
* Confidence in making decisions and managing day-to-day operations
* Experience with Medicare and private health fund billing
* Familiarity with Genie software or similar practice management systems
