We're seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Community Transport Driver. In this casual role, you'll be responsible for delivering a flexible, reliable, and responsive "door to door" transport service for CRCS participants. Your role will involve close collaboration with our Transport Coordinators, requiring flexibility, empathy, and effective problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide transport support for ageing and/or disabled CRCS participants.
• Ensure the delivery of a person-centered, high-quality, and safe community transport service.
• Work collaboratively with the Transport Coordinators and offer physical support based on identified needs.
• Maintain and care for the CRCS fleet vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and proper maintenance.
• Operate within CRCS Transport Safety Management Systems.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* Holds a Current Driver's license and has demonstrated a safe and responsible driving record.
* Knowledge of CRCS and other service providers within ACT.
* High level knowledge of the community sector.
* Knowledge of the ACT road network.
* Strong understanding of the Australian Road Rules.
* Understanding of Work Health Safety and your safety obligations.
CRCS also requires all employees to:
* Report any convictions affecting eligibility to work or perform the inherent requirements of the position.
* Undertake employment screening as required by CRCS, such as medical assessments, functional assessments, or psychological profiles.
* Hold or be willing to obtain a satisfactory Working with Vulnerable People registration (ACT) and/or a Working with Children Check (NSW), and have these with them at all times whilst employed by CRCS.
* Undertake a National Criminal History Clearance by CRCS prior to commencing and every three years thereafter as a condition of employment. Employees are required to advise CRCS of any convictions that may effect their eligibility to work or perform the inherent requirements of their position
