A suitable educational qualfication in hospitality Certificate 4 in Hospitality and at least 1 year of relevant work experience required.
Be fast, efficient and able to work well under pressure.
Assist the Executive Chef to ensure exceptional food quality and presentation
Contribute to managing kitchen budgets, inventory and food costs
Have effective communication skills and the passion to set high standards in the kitchen, leading the team by example.
Estimating food costs, and ordering food supplies.
Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stagesof preparation and presentation.
Knowledge of contempory cooking techniques, food presentation and kitchen operations.
Work within the requirements of food safety and food handling.
Have a high interest in quality produce.
Attention to detail and creativity, with a passion for food.
