We are seeking intermediate level Engineers with a passion for water and wastewater to join our thriving Planning team. This role will be based in our Newcastle office and involves multiple aspects of engineering consulting, including hydraulic modelling, GIS analysis, cost estimation, and field inspection.
You will contribute to project delivery and collaborate with other disciplines to contribute to process engineering, design, and asset management projects. Your proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to adding a fresh perspective are essential to your success.
A recent civil or environmental engineering degree, knowledge of water and wastewater network planning, and a commitment to learning are required. You will also demonstrate sound reasoning and problem-solving skills, as well as exemplary skills in Microsoft packages.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support senior engineers in delivering planning, feasibility, and strategy studies
* Conduct hydraulic modelling of water supply and wastewater systems
* Perform GIS analysis, cost estimation, and report preparation
* Carry out field inspection and condition assessment of water supply, wastewater, and stormwater assets
* Collaborate with other disciplines on process engineering, design, and asset management projects
Requirements:
* Civil or environmental engineering degree
* Knowledge of water and wastewater network planning
* Commitment to learning and expanding knowledge of the water industry
* Sound reasoning and problem-solving skills
* Exemplary skills in Microsoft packages
