About the Role
Join a large federal ICT environment supporting critical enterprise communication and collaboration services. This role sits within an End User Services team responsible for maintaining and modernising a complex hybrid Microsoft ecosystem.
You’ll contribute to the ongoing stability, security and transformation of Exchange and Microsoft 365 services across a large, multi-forest environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain hybrid Exchange Server and Exchange Online environments
* Lead migration activities to Exchange Online, including mailboxes, groups and legacy data
* Support and enhance Enterprise Vault archiving and data rationalisation activities
* Investigate and resolve complex issues across mail flow, gateways and hybrid connectivity
* Develop and maintain technical documentation including designs, SOPs, DR and migration plans
* Contribute to technical workshops, project discussions and solution design activities
* Support cross-skilling across teams and assist operational support functions
* Ensure alignment with Australian Government security frameworks (ISM, Essential Eight, ACSC hardening)
About You
* Strong experience with Exchange Server and Exchange Online in complex hybrid, multi-forest environments
* Proven delivery of Exchange Online migrations including legacy Exchange environments
* Strong troubleshooting capability across mail flow, DNS, Active Directory and hybrid connectivity
* Solid Windows Server knowledge including Active Directory, DNS, DFS and Group Policy (AGPM advantageous)
* Understanding of Australian Government cyber security requirements (ISM, Essential Eight, ACSC)
* Strong documentation and stakeholder engagement skills

* Microsoft Purview Information Protection (MPIP)
* Microsoft Intune and mobile device management
* Broader Microsoft 365 services (Teams, SharePoint, compliance and security tools)
