Program Overview
Join our courageous and compassionate team, The Cairns HomeStay Support and Tenancy Sustainment Service (HomeStay) provides mobile support to people who are at risk of homelessness or post crisis to maintain and sustain their tenancies. HomeStay provides an early intervention model to identify contributing factors and resolve the risk of homelessness. Through provision of case management support, needs assessments and referrals to necessary support agencies, you will lead and work towards resolving issues including rent arrears, problems with property and disputes that could threaten a tenancy such as health, job or family crises that could threaten a tenancy.
To Be Successful You Will Need
* Proven case management experience using a holistic and client centered approach to managing your case load.
* Extensive experience working in government funded programs with strict budgetary and contractual requirements of service.
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government bodies, community organisations, and other service providers to provide efficient and effective services to clients.
* Knowledge of organisational programs, policies and operations.
* Industry relevant qualifications or relevant industry experience.
* Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, families and communities will be highly regarded
* Experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds will be highly regarded
Compliance
* A current QLD Drivers Licence 'Class C' or interstate equivalent.
* Blue Card (Working with children card)
* A current national police check (within the last 3 months)
* Current First Aid & CPR certificate
