Role Overview
Medacs Healthcare is partnering with a public health hospital in Australia to fill community-based Child and Adolescent Mental Health Clinician roles.
This position offers a unique blend of provincial and metropolitan lifestyles, with the area located near Melbourne.
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our team as Mental Health Registered Nurses.
Main Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with consumers, carers, families, and service providers to deliver high-quality mental health assessment, treatment, and consultation services within a recovery-oriented framework.
2. Support the initial contact process with CAMHS referrals and assist with screening new referrals.
3. Liaise with health, education, and welfare services to gather comprehensive histories and make referrals.
4. Provide advanced biopsychosocial assessments, formulations, and individualized recovery plans.
5. Conduct consumer-focused comprehensive assessments, including mental status examinations and risk assessments.
6. Develop risk management plans.
7. Build and maintain professional relationships with consumers and carers.
Requirements
1. Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse.
2. Experience and expertise in assessing, treating, and intervening with children and adolescents experiencing mental health disorders.
3. A valid driver's licence.
