Job Description:
The Senior Procurement Advisor plays a pivotal role in supporting QBuild's ambition to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry by providing exceptional procurement services. This involves developing and promoting procurement 'best practice' and contract performance across the region.
Duties and Skills:
* Communicate procurement strategies inclusive of strategic sourcing and contract management to staff, facilitating changes to traditional procurement practices through training and education programs.
* Prepare and call tenders, undertaking purchasing activities for various categories involving construction, maintenance, consulting, and upgrade activities.
* Provide guidance and assistance to operational and estimating teams in purchasing and associated policies, as well as pricing of future works.
Requirements:
* Develop and deliver procurement and contract management training programs to internal and external stakeholders.
* Establish working relationships with stakeholders, including suppliers and contractors, focusing on competitive pricing and meeting established performance standards.
* Proactively manage work performance and personal conduct of staff.
QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government, responsible for building and maintaining government-owned assets. The successful candidate will be an integral part of this team, contributing to the development and implementation of standing offer agreements and building contracts.
