Currently we have an excellent opportunity to lead adult acute inpatient psychiatry across Sydney public services. They can offer granted private practice rights allowing you to generate income from treating private patients within the public system.
Salary: Up to $550,000 p.a. (£270,000) – inclusive of super, allowance and earnings from private access rights.
Position: Consultant – Psychiatrist (General Adult) – Inpatient
Hours: Full-time
Settings: Acute/intensive/rehabilitation inpatient units
Location: Sydney, NSW
Your key responsibilities will be;
* Comprehensive assessment and evidence-based treatment for severe mental illness
* Lead MDT ward rounds and discharge planning
* Consultation-liaison to ED and general wards
* Risk formulation, safety planning, and escalation pathways
* Supervise registrars, RMOs, and students
* Contribute to governance, audits, and research
* Participate in rostered after-hours on-call
For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;
* MBBS or equivalent registrable with AHPRA
* Must be on specialist register by CCT and MRCPSYCH
* Demonstrated leadership in multidisciplinary care
