At Muscle Republic our mission is to connect the world through the heartbeat of fitness. The Junior Product Developer will support our Designers in creating and launching new products to support that mission. The Junior Product Developer will assist in following up with suppliers on lab dips, strike-offs, fabric developments and samples, to bring their creative vision to life.
This role is ideal for someone process-driven who thrives in the intersection of design & manufacturing. Previous experience utilising a high level of administrative skills is required in this fast-paced environment. A passion for activewear and lifestyle product, together with high attention to detail are key to success in this role. You should be highly organized and collaborative with an eagerness to learn.
Key Responsibilities of the role include:
* Creating new styles in 3-clicks for Designer/Senior Designer to create tech packs.
* Maintaining & updating monthly range boards in Illustrator.
* Setting-up artwork Instructions.
* Preparing fabric development requests and lab dip requests.
* Creating 2D CAD drawings in Illustrator, as directed by Design Team.
* Assigning style numbers & product names.
About you:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a fashion design or product development-related role. Experience working with stretch fabrics or activewear is advantageous.
* Basic understanding of garment construction is advantageous.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Ability to adapt to change and pivot when required.
* Experience in 3 clicks or a similar PLM system (not essential but it is a plus).
* Willingness to learn the product creation process.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
* Basic understanding of production timelines.
* Effective communication skills - both written and verbal.
* Solutions-based, team-first mindset.
