The hospital is a 64-bed facility that provides emergency, surgical, and general medical care to the region's growing population. They are currently offering an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and proactive Registered Nurses to join their team, working within Emergency Department and Close Observation unit.
About The Role
As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department or Close Observation unit, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you will ensure patients receive exceptional support during critical moments. This position requires a candidate with exceptional dedication, enthusiasm, and the ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining a strong focus on patient care. Your excellent interpersonal skills will be key in fostering positive, collaborative relationships and adapting your communication style to suit a wide range of audiences. You will also bring a compassionate approach to interactions with patients, families, and caregivers, offering the emotional support essential in an emergency setting. Strong time management and organisational skills are vital in this role, your commitment to delivering high-quality nursing care will significantly contribute to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the Emergency Department.
About You
Preferred: Certification in Advanced Life Support, encompassing comprehensive skills and protocols for both paediatric and adult patient care. Possessing current Triage certification or actively working towards it to strengthen abilities in patient assessment, prioritisation, and decision-making under high-pressure scenarios. It is essential that you have significant emergency experience, as this is crucial for effectively navigating high-pressure medical situations. This experience will allow you to demonstrate the skills necessary for rapid patient assessment, prioritisation of care and timely intervention, ultimately ensuring the best possible outcomes in urgent and critical circumstances.
Essential Requirements
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
