TRAINEE or SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER / ESTIMATOR
Tascon Constructions Pty Ltd is a Tasmanian-owned commercial construction company that has been operating in Hobart for over 40 years. Tascon has a long history delivering high quality commercial fit-out and small to medium construction projects within the private and public sector throughout Tasmania. We are seeking the right person to join our team in the role of Trainee or Senior Project Manager / Estimator. This is a full-time permanent position based at our Moonah office. We welcome applications from both experienced candidates and those looking to develop their career through a trainee position within the commercial construction industry.
The Role
The successful applicant will assist with and progressively take responsibility for:
1. Tender preparation and submission
2. Project planning and coordination
3. Liaison with clients, architects, engineers and subcontractors
4. Scheduling and program management
5. Cost control and project reporting
Skills and Experience
Applicants should demonstrate:
6. Experience in commercial construction (preferred but not essential for trainees)
7. Understanding of WHS requirements and Codes of Practice
8. Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications and approvals
9. Time management and ability to respond promptly to issues
10. Basic computer literacy and numeracy
11. People management and coordination skills
12. Understanding of Australian Standards and the NCC
13. Current Australian Driver's Licence
