Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and quick-thinking Document Controller to join our client fast-paced engineering team. Success in this role requires balancing attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic workplace.
This role is essential in supporting the development of production systems, by gathering, managing, and organising technical documentation such as Bills of Materials (BOMs), cable drawings, and build records.
We are ideally looking for candidates with a solid technical understanding of electrical and electronic systems, and hands-on experience in a production environment. Experience with drafting or technical drawing is a strong advantage. Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be citizens of Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and collate production data from engineering teams (e.g. BOMs, electrical harness drawings, cable assemblies).
- Organise and maintain documentation using platforms such as SharePoint.
- Support the Avionics team by ensuring all production documents are accurate, accessible, and up-to-date.
- Work closely with engineers and drafters to reduce their administrative workload, allowing them to focus on technical outputs.
- Potential to assist with drafting tasks as required (Autocad).
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar Document Controller role, ideally in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of technical drawings, build records, and engineering documentation standards.
- Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail.
- Experience using document management systems (e.g. SharePoint).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment and adapt to evolving project needs.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
