Responsibilities include:
Maintain school grounds, gardens, fields, and outdoor spaces across approximately 12 acres.
Operate a large zero-turn mower and other grounds equipment.
Undertake general building and facility maintenance, including minor repairs.
Routine inspection of grounds, fences, irrigation, and outdoor facilities.
Seasonal tasks such as pruning, mulching, weed control, and pest management.
Waste management, including green waste and recycling.
Identify and report site hazards or damage.
Assist with event setup and pack down when needed.
Maintain basic records for maintenance schedules and equipment servicing.
Support morning and afternoon school bus runs using a 12-seater HiAce, or transport students when required.
Qualifications:
Experience in grounds or property maintenance.
Safe operation of zero-turn mowers, power tools, and outdoor equipment.
Current C Class driver's licence.
Working With Children Check, or the ability to obtain one.
Physically capable of outdoor work in varying weather.
Strong awareness of WHS requirements in a school setting.
Experience in rural or semi-rural property maintenance.
Basic handyman or trade skills.
Experience with irrigation systems or turf management.
Chemical handling knowledge, for example AQF3 ChemCert.
Current First Aid certificate.
