As a Tech Lead for Site Production Platform (SPP), you'll be at the forefront of solving intriguing problems that span both local and global initiatives within News Corp.Key Responsibilities Lead the solution design process. Assist in task planning and estimation. Own the developer stack, maintain, document, and continuously improve. Collaborate with the Platform Manager to develop and implement the engineering roadmap. Champion engineering best practices. Contribute to the ongoing improvement of engineering processes. Perform code reviews and ensure team standards are upheld. Identify production issue trends and suggest proactive remediations. Configuration, improvement, and maintenance of monitoring and alerting systems. Take an active part in incident resolution. Deliver proof of concept solutions. Limited stakeholder management. Who are you? Extensive experience and knowledge of PHP. Solid understanding and experience in OOP & SOA. Experience in version control systems (GIT, SVN). Experience with unit testing (PHPUnit). Experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript. Experience with front-end frameworks (VueJS/React). Experience with CI/CD processes. Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS). Experience working with one or more frameworks (Zend, Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter) or open-source CMS (WordPress, Joomla, Magento, Drupal). Ability to solve problems quickly and thoroughly. Ability to debug and troubleshoot complex problems. Experience understanding complex architecture. Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills, able to communicate a solution effectively and clearly. Ability to identify blockers and escalate as needed.
