Project Manager Opportunity
The Department of Housing & Public Works is responsible for the successful delivery of key capital programs on behalf of the government, across a range of asset classes including housing, health, education, corrections, arts, sports and tourism. The department works closely with the private sector to deliver well-designed, functional solutions to some of the biggest challenges facing the state.
This role requires a professional leader who can manage complex capital works programs that deliver positive economic and social outcomes. You will utilise your leadership and management capabilities to deliver projects on schedule and budget, in accordance with statutory responsibilities, government priorities, funding agreements and departmental policies and procedures.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Lead the delivery of capital programs from procurement through to post-occupancy evaluation.
2. Effective project management ensuring achievement of key performance metrics (time/cost/quality).
3. Develop and maintain key relationships with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring community and stakeholder objectives are supported by the delivery teams.
4. People leadership and development – ensuring your teams are motivated and supported to achieve key deliverables.
5. Collaborate effectively across government to maximise benefits.
