Job Title: Associate Manager Corporate Services

The Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Associate Manager Corporate Services to join our team.

This role reports to and works closely with the management, assisting with planning and decision making with a high focus on strategy and operational improvement.

The successful applicant will have sound skills and attributes in managing teams, adapting to suit the growing business needs of the organization, and providing effective customer and administrative support service delivery.

The role involves overseeing the Corporate Services team, ensuring compliance with financial and operational procedures, and assisting with various responsibilities including Schools Financial Performance, Promotions and Public Relations, Building and Assets, Human Resources, School and Student Administration, and strategic operational input to the development of the organization's workforce and business plans.

The ideal candidate will be a flexible team player with sound communication skills and a thorough understanding of relevant systems and policies required to maintain, monitor, analyse and extract information from these systems.


Main Responsibilities:

* Assist management with planning and decision making with a high focus on strategy and operational improvement
* Oversee the Corporate Services team and ensure compliance with financial and operational procedures
* Provide input to the development, implementation and monitoring of business and strategic plans
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of effective relationships with stakeholders, including staff, students and parents
* Ensure efficient and effective management of corporate services operations, including budgeting, reporting and performance monitoring

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Demonstrated well-developed written communication, verbal and interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal and negotiate with a wide range of individuals at all levels
* Demonstrated well-developed financial skills, including budget preparation, monitoring and reporting, and the ability to interpret and apply financial and accounting practices and procedures
* Demonstrated considerable understanding of, and ability to apply, human resource management and customer service principles and practices
* Demonstrated ability to provide input to the development, implementation and monitoring of business and strategic plans
* Demonstrated sound conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify patterns, process improvements, problems and solutions

Eligibility Criteria:

* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment
* Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before starting
* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the relevant authority before starting
