Role
As an Audit Manager you manage a team for several low to medium risk local government audits or provide support on high-risk audits. You will work on audits in both South East Queensland and regional and rural Queensland. You are a seasoned professional who can draw on your financial audit experience managing local government audits to help us deliver our audits to our key client base. You have strong communication skills – both written and verbal, the ability to think strategically, achieve results, and have a sense of adventure to explore Queensland.
This role involves travel to local government locations, which may often include overnight stays. We provide advance notice of travel and work with you to support adaptable arrangements wherever possible.

As the independent auditor of the public sector and local governments, we are vital to Queensland’s integrity system. We provide independent, professional audit and assurance services, giving parliament and the public trusted assurance and insights.
We have hundreds of audit clients from a wide range of industries across the beautiful state of Queensland, including 77 councils. We help them improve their financial management and performance, so they can deliver better public services for the community. We support the Queensland Parliament in holding entities to account for the effective, efficient, and economical use of public resources. We also engage with many other stakeholders, such as integrity bodies, accounting standards boards, and Australian and international audit offices.

• A Brisbane based role with hybrid work arrangements – work from client sites, in the office and from home.
• Salary commensurate with experience – $150,000 to $161,000 (includes 12.75% superannuation and 17.5% annual leave loading)
