ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a capable and solutions-focused Workforce Operations Lead to deliver consistent, fair, and efficient workforce operations across Melbourne Park.
In this role, you will lead core operational processes across rostering, scheduling, systems, onboarding logistics, compliance, performance management and workforce experience ensuring the right people are allocated safely and effectively across our precinct.
Reporting to the Workforce Development & Operations Manager, you will provide frontline support for employee relations matters, identify concerns early, coordinate coaching conversations, support performance discussions, and ensure interactions are values-aligned, consistent, and well documented.
While this role has no direct reports, it plays a pivotal leadership role across processes, operational decision-making, and day-to-day guidance within the broader workforce team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate end-to-end rostering, scheduling, and workforce allocation for permanent, casual, and event-based teams.
Act as the first escalation point for roster issues, cancellations, and operational adjustments.
Partner with Venue and Event teams to deliver quality rosters for daily operations and events.
Manage day-to-day operations of the Workforce Management system, including troubleshooting and updates.
Maintain high data accuracy across workforce records and compliance checks.
Employee Relations, Performance & Workforce Support
Contribute to key workforce projects across recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, systems and operations.
ABOUT YOU
You bring experience in workforce operations, scheduling, HR operations, or event-based workforce management within a complex and fast-paced environment. You take pride in delivering high-quality workforce outcomes, building strong relationships, and supporting teams to perform at their best, particularly during peak event periods.
You have:
Experience coordinating rostering, scheduling or workforce operations.
Experience using workforce or HR systems (e.g., Humanforce, Cornerstone).
Experience supporting employee relations matters and early-intervention conversations.
Experience coordinating recruitment, onboarding or workforce project activities.
Established stakeholder engagement skills within complex, high-volume environments.
Established planning, coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret enterprise agreements and apply compliance requirements.
High attention to detail and strong digital capability.
Adaptability and a commitment to delivering a values-aligned workforce experience.
ADVANTAGEOUS but not essential
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Events, or Operations Management.
Certificates in HR, WHS or systems administration.
Ability to obtain/maintain required compliance checks (e.g., Working with Children Check).
