Operations Manager - Darwin

Full-time, permanent position based in Darwin.
This role reports to the Terminal Manager and is available for immediate start.
The purpose of the role is to ensure safe and reliable day-to-day operational running of the Vopak terminal site, and to supervise a team of operators.
Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate safety leadership and contribute to proactive safety efforts and sustainability initiatives.
Lead, coach and mentor team members to achieve business priorities through resource allocation and effective management.
Oversee all product transfers in the terminal and shipping operations, and ensure safe and effective completions of internal and external product transfers in line with customer requirements and Vopak standards and processes.
Provide sustainable and ongoing improvement management for the terminal operation.
Ensure the operations team is appropriately trained, qualified and competent to provide a safe working environment and handle unforeseen operational activities.
Liaise with customers at operational level and maintain effective relationships.
Provide assistance in defining project scopes and arranging resource support from operations when required.
Conduct internal operational audits and assist with on-site audits.
Qualifications

Relevant qualifications in Engineering or Operations Management.
Industry experience in tank farming, shipping, petroleum, construction, oil & gas, or manufacturing is favoured.
Previous proven team-management experience is essential.
Salary: A$115,****** – A$125,****** per annum.
