About the role
As part of the Anatomical Pathology Directorate, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality surgical pathology and cytology services that support excellent patient care. This role is integral to ensuring accurate, timely and cost-effective diagnostic services, working within a dedicated and professional team committed to achieving the best outcomes for patients and clinicians alike.
In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will play a key role in supporting medical education through teaching, in-service training, patient review and ongoing study. About You
You are a highly skilled and motivated Medical Practitioner with specialist expertise in Anatomical Pathology. With extensive experience in surgical pathology and cytology, you bring a collaborative approach, strong clinical judgement and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
- MBBS or equivalent with appropriate Specialist qualifications, registerable with AHPRA
- High-level competency in surgical pathology and cytology, meeting turnaround and quality standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure in a multidisciplinary team
- Strong knowledge of anatomical pathology, computerised reporting systems, current trends, and occupational health and safety requirements
