Description Product Owner – Digital Credit Origination. Sydney, NSW | Hybrid Working. Build, lead and scale the future of institutional credit origination! Are you ready? We’re looking for a senior, hands‑on Product Owner to shape and deliver the next generation credit origination capability for one of Australia’s most complex and high‑impact institutional banking environments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in delivery, can stand up and lead squads from the ground up, and brings deep, practical knowledge of institutional lending and credit workflows — from front‑office origination through to credit decisioning, documentation and fulfilment. You’ll sit at the intersection of business, technology, risk and operations, owning the product vision and roadmap while working shoulder‑to‑shoulder with engineers, designers and data specialists to deliver outcomes that matter. Key accountabilities in the role … Own and evolve the product vision, roadmap and backlog for digital credit origination. Translate complex business, regulatory and credit requirements into clear, prioritised delivery outcomes. Build, lead and direct cross‑functional squads of engineers, designers and data / AI specialists. Actively guide solution design across workflow orchestration, automation and data‑driven decisioning. Partner closely with Credit Risk, Front Office, Operations and Technology to improve speed, transparency and control. Serve as a trusted SME for institutional lending and complex credit origination, influencing outcomes through expertise rather than hierarchy. Embed regulatory, risk and control considerations into products from day one. Essential ingredients for success … Proven experience as a Product Owner (or equivalent) delivering complex digital products in institutional banking or large‑scale lending environments. Deep, practical knowledge of credit origination — including credit assessment, approvals, documentation and fulfilment. A strong track record building and leading agile delivery squads, not just contributing to them. Confidence working with complex stakeholder sets and navigating competing priorities with clarity and empathy. Ability to turn ambiguity into action and ideas into production‑grade outcomes. Hands‑on experience with platforms such as Salesforce or Microsoft CRM, Loan IQ, Fenergo, DPX, or equivalent origination / onboarding systems highly desirable. Experience modernising or digitising credit workflows, including automation or straight‑through processing. Exposure to data‑driven or AI‑enabled decision support within lending or origination contexts. Why this role is different … You’ll own a critical institutional capability, not a small feature set. You’ll have the mandate to build teams, shape ways of working and leave a lasting footprint. You’ll work on products that directly impact credit outcomes, risk management and client experience at scale. Why join us?
