Senior Business Analyst - Process & Change - NV1 Cleared Location: Melbourne Work Type: Contract Security Requirement: NV1 Clearance (Mandatory) Sponsorship: Not available for this position Role Purpose Within a complex ICT delivery program, the Senior Business Analyst - Process & Change leads the discovery, analysis, and definition of complex business requirements. You will design improved business processes to enable effective solution delivery, maintaining a strong end-to-end perspective from problem definition through to implementation readiness. This role partners closely with change management to ensure successful adoption. Key Responsibilities Business Analysis Lead end-to-end discovery to understand business problems, objectives, and constraints. Elicit, analyse, validate, and document complex business, functional, and non-functional requirements. Translate business needs into clear user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria. Maintain requirements traceability through design, build, test, and implementation. Provide options analysis and recommendations to support informed business decisions. Process Analysis & Design Lead current-state (as-is) analysis to identify inefficiencies, risks, and control gaps. Design future-state (to-be) processes aligned to business strategy and customer outcomes. Map processes using agreed standards (e.g., BPMN), including roles, handoffs, and controls. Define operational impacts, measures, and success criteria for new processes. Ensure processes are practical, implementable, and ready for transition to BAU. Stakeholder Engagement & Change Support Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, SMEs, and delivery teams. Facilitate complex workshops to drive alignment and project outcomes. Provide high-quality inputs to change impact assessments and inform training/readiness activities. Support engagement with stakeholders to explain upcoming process and system changes. Skills & Experience Essential Must hold a current NV1 Security Clearance. Significant experience delivering complex change within large-scale environments. Strong requirements elicitation and documentation capability. Demonstrated leadership in business process analysis and design. Excellent facilitation skills and the ability to work through ambiguity. Australian Citizenship is required (No sponsorship available). Desirable Experience supporting change initiatives or familiarity with frameworks (e.g., ADKAR, Prosci).
