Universities Australia is seeking a senior data professional to lead how evidence and insight shape national higher education policy.
This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to move beyond reporting and dashboards to influence executive decisions, sector advocacy and national reform.
Working closely with the Executive and Leadership Group, you will lead the development of Universities Australia's organisation-wide data strategy, turning complex datasets into clear, decision-ready insights for Boards, senior leaders and policymakers. You will analyse major national and international data releases, develop compelling visualisations and briefings, and ensure data strengthens policy development, advocacy and public communications.
You'll bring:
* Advanced data analysis skills
* Experience working with large datasets and tools such as Power BI or Tableau
* Strong judgement in translating data into strategic insight
* Confidence communicating with non-technical audiences at senior levels
* A proactive, ownership-driven approach to complex work
Experience in higher education or public policy is advantageous but not essential.
